Egg donation IVF is an IVF procedure where eggs from a screened, healthy donor are fertilised with the recipient’s partner’s sperm in the laboratory. The resulting embryo is transferred into the recipient’s uterus. It is used when a woman cannot produce viable eggs of her own,due to poor ovarian reserve, premature ovarian failure, genetic conditions, or repeated IVF failures. Furthermore, donor egg IVF typically achieves higher success rates than IVF with own eggs in these cases.
